Sources: Holmes agrees to join Mets — as starter
Clay Holmes and the Mets are in agreement on a three-year, $38 million contract, sources told ESPN’s Jeff Passan, confirming a New York Post report. The Mets plan to turn Holmes, who has spent his big league career as a reliever, into a starter.
