Register Now for Destination Defender: September 11-13, Temecula, California

There are music festivals. There are outdoor festivals. There are food festivals. But there’s nothing like Destination Defender. Designed to appeal to both Defender enthusiasts and anyone looking for an adventure-fueled weekend, the event delivers an experience that’s both intimate and epic—a community gathering for people who believe in doing the impossible.

That’s because there’s nothing like the Defender. For decades, the legendary vehicle has been the choice for adventure in the planet’s most remote and challenging terrain. That capability has also made it the go-to vehicle for service workers doing humanitarian work all over the globe, creating a legacy of mission-driven support.

With that spirit of adventure and service connecting the community of Defender owners and enthusiasts, it’s no surprise that a weekend celebrating the Defender lifestyle is so unique. It brings together music and film, off-road and outdoor activities, modern and vintage vehicles, gourmet food and drink, and more. Here’s what’s on the agenda at this fall’s Destination Defender, September 11-13 in Temecula, California. (A variety of camping and lodging options are available.)

Driving Course

Challenge yourself on a purpose-built trail network available only to Destination Defender attendees. Defender vehicles will be on hand just for this event, so you can test—and improve—your off-road skills using a capable rig. Professional instructors help drivers of all levels, ensuring you get plenty of takeaways with the four-wheel fun.

Live Music

This is not a traditional festival experience—and that’s the best part. A far-away stage projected on a big screen? Nope. Rather, it’s an intimate musical showcase, with close-in seating that feels more like your backyard than a distant band. This year’s lineup includes Socal favorites Sure Sure and the anthemic feel-good indie rock of Young Rising Sons on Saturday and, on Sunday, viral retro-pop star Alex Sampson and Los Angeles soul-funk favorite Reverend Doctor

Outdoor Activities

Mountain biking for everyone, from kids to the hardest chargers, is on the adventure menu each day. E-bike maker Aventon will have a fleet of demo bikes on hand (with flat pedals, no need to pack bike shoes), and will be leading guided rides both Saturday and Sunday morning. Other activities include pilates, outdoor games, and more.

Gastronomy

Master chefs put on a culinary show, with tastings and gourmet meals. There’s something for everyone, from breakfast to campfire treats, and high-end fare from food trucks means you can eat well all weekend, no need to pack a camp kitchen.

Vehicle Showcase

With a legacy that dates back to 1948, Defender vehicles draw on decades of pioneering design and innovation. Destination Defender puts this legacy on display, with a showcase of both modern and vintage vehicles, all with one thing in common: they’re the world’s most capable vehicles. Enthusiasts from all over gather to share their favorite models—bring yours or just marvel at these examples of purpose-driven engineering.

Defender Service Awards

The winners of the 2026 Defender Service Awards will be announced on September 12, at a ceremony for Destination Defender attendees. The evening gala celebrates Defender’s near-80-year history of supporting mission-driven work in some of the world’s most remote areas, and honors the latest heroes in this legacy of service. The Defender Service Awards presented by CHASE is the natural extension of this spirit, and puts the Defender 130 to work for nonprofits across the United States and Canada. Since 2021, the program has awarded 30 customized Defender SUVs and more than $1.5 million. In total, 120-plus nonprofits have benefited, enabling them to improve and expand their services.

At Destination  Defender, you get the chance to meet this year’s winners when they’re announced—and share in a celebration to remember.
